Feels like I was just writing her 2 month old update last week, time is flying by fast! In the last month, I have gone back to work (planning, schools starts Sept.9th), started Stroller Strides exercise classes with Maddy and have been going to Mommy Movies. Maddy has stayed alone with her daddy and both grandmas now. I'm feeling like a cow with all the milk pumping I have to do in order to leave her.
Three Months finds Maddy:
- smiling more
- laughing (still hasn't laughed for me yet)
- wearing 3-6 month sized clothes (for the past few weeks now)
- wearing size 2 diapers
- wearing pig tails in her hair
- sleeps in her crib up to 3 1/2 hours
- can "sit up" (more of a slump over, see picture)
- can roll from stomach to back
- can roll from back to side
- moves head to look both ways easily
- can hold toys, with a good grasp
- found her toes, grabs them with her hands
- lifts legs up to her chest
- kicks at toys hanging near her
- more aware of movement around her
- more interactive
- "chews" on her hands constantly
- drools
- much more vocal
- falls asleep in her car seat easier than before
She is becoming much more active these days, and will really play with toys that hang down in her baby gym and bouncy seat. When I drop her off at Grandma's house before I go to work, she is all smiles and is usually sound asleep when I pick her up. So far she eats anywhere between 5 and 9 ounces of milk in the almost 6 hours I am gone.
She is getting heavy, it is very uncomfortable to carry her in her car seat now. She hasn't been weighed in while, but I would guess she is at least 15 pounds now. Her 0-3 month old sized clothes are slowly being packed away.
