Maddy's First Boo Boo

Thursday, Maddy did a face plant into my tooth. Left a teeny tiny bruise on her cheek that was gone before the day was over. See the little mark under her left eye? I'm hoping this is her only injury...ever! :)

Maddy's First Dodger Game

A friend of Mike's saw his facebook status update about our Dodger Stadium tour and offered us free tickets to the game on Tuesday night (he is a Dodger artist!). We were excited to go to our first game since April, and for Maddy to experience her first game! Mike's friend gave us great field level tickets, in the last row, so it was easy to walk with Maddy when she got a little fussy. Mike has videos of Maddy's first wave and her first Take Me Out to the Ball Game that I'll get him to post later.

Too many pictures for one post!!

These pictures are also from Maddy's first Dodger Game!

Sunday at the Clays

Sunday, after Dodger Stadium we went to my parents' house for dunch/linner. It's always great to get to see everyone all together.

Dodger Stadium Tour

Last Sunday, the three of us went on a tour of Dodger Stadium. It was neat to see all the things that are off limits when you go for a game. We got to go out on the field, sit in the dug out, go into the Stadium Club (where those who pay a lot of money for tickets get to eat, drink, & mingle), go into Vin Scully's Press Box, see the Organ that is played for Take Me Out to the Ball Game, relax in the Hollywood Stars Suite and I am sure I am forgetting some...I should have had Mike write this post. Mike took all the photos of this trip, so I am actually in some pictures :) Daddy's dream come true to be on the Dodger Stadium field with his daughter! There are a ton of pictures, go to my picasa album (http://picasaweb.google.com/amandalclay/MKSCamera8209#) to see all of them. Isn't Maddy cute in her 1st Dodger hat, she is also wearing a Dodger onesie. Maddy slept through the tour, fell asleep the second we started walking!

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday, August 9th, was our first wedding anniversary! We've had quite an eventful year!!!

Update time!

I have been lacking on the updates lately, as Maddy gets older she needs to be entertained more. Here are all our updates that don't have photos to go along with them...

Today Maddy and I went to our Stroller Strides class, and then to Monday Mommy Movie again. They were showing Julie and Julia, and we got Laurel and Bella to join us this week!

Maddy is doing a little better at sleeping in her crib, she stills wakes up every 2 hours in the middle of the night, but I've been reading some strategies to help that, but I will wait until she is a little older and her belly can stay full longer. Laurel lucked out with a good sleeper, Bella slept for 7 hours straight in her crib last night!

Maddy stayed home with just her daddy for the first time on Wednesday. Our hospital offers a free Returning to Work class that I wanted to take. It provided information about pumping at work, and providing milk for the baby while you are at work. It went better than expected and Maddy slept for 4 of the 5 hours (I went to dinner with The Girls after the class) I was gone. We'll have to do a few practice rounds of leaving her with Grandma Jane before I go back to work on September 9th. I have hopeful plans of Mike dropping her off in the morning before he goes to work, since I have a bell schedule to follow.

On Saturday, Grandma Judy, watched Maddy so Mike and I could go out and celebrate out 1st wedding anniversary. We went to the movies to see 500 Days of Summer and then out to dinner. We used to love going out to the movies, so we took advantage of the opportunity...and picked one that isn't showing during Mommy Movie Mondays that I wanted to see. Maddy did great with her Grandma, who was more than eager to babysit. We already have our next night out planned for the end of the month. So nice to have eager childcare from both grandmas, make it easier to know that she is in good hands while we are away.
