4th of July

Maddy wore her stars and stripes to celebrate her first Fourth of July! During the day we went and had lunch at a new open air market we found, where we'll be buying all our fruits and vegis from now on. The produce is fresh, delicious and a little cheaper than the grocery store, and it supports local farmers, can't get much better than that! In the early evening we went and had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Kitano's house. We then headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Clay's to watch the fireworks shoot off from the high school, while sitting on top of the creek bank. I wore Maddy in her carrier (we had to do a little bit of climbing up the side of the creek) and she slept through the fireworks. Maddy had a good time celebrating and sleeping through her first 4th!

Just Maddy

Just a few cute photos of Maddy! The first one is a sneak peak at her 4th of July outfit (and just too funny not to share, she is full of silly facial expressions!), the second one shows her enjoying her play gym and the last is her being incredibly cute on her changing pad just before getting changed into her clothes for the day.

Girls Night

Jennifer, Christy & Hazel, Melissa, Amanda & Madeline, Shaune

After visiting Bella (and her parents), Maddy and I dropped off Mike at home and headed over to a fondue restaurant with the girls. Our group ranges in age from 28 to 41, we all started hanging out about 6 years ago when we all volunteered as advisors for a YMCA teen government program. We used to see each other literally every single night, and now life changes (marriage, moves, kids, jobs) have made it so we see each other every few weeks, but they'll always be "my girls".
