Bella Anne

Cutie Pie Bella is starting to look more like Laurel, this photo is from our pier trip. Too bad I don't know how to edit photos, and get rid of the red eye.

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we took Maddy to her first pumpkin patch! We took her after her afternoon nap, but she was still pretty sleepy and not that into it. We picked out the perfect Maddy sized pumpkin after getting the traditional baby and pumpkin photos.

She discovered cups!

We went to breakfast Saturday morning and Maddy started showing interest in everything on our plates and in our cups. I think she is telling us she wants to try eating and so we decided we'll try some very milked down rice cereal soon. I emptied my plastic cup and let her explore it with her mouth. She was dressed in her first Halloween outfit, which all the old people in the restaurant loved.

Redondo Beach with the Rexons

Two weekends ago, we got a call from the Rexons, seeing if we wanted to join them for an afternoon on Redondo Beach Pier. We walked around, enjoying the ocean breeze while pushing the girls in their strollers. The boys can't resist competing in the arcade, so they played the basketball toss game, and the moms played skeeball. Maddy decided she was done in her stroller, so she was in her carrier for our games. We then went to a restaurant for lunch/dinner. The last photo is the only one we got before Maddy demanded to eat RIGHT NOW!

Big Girl Stroller Seat

We have finally been able to upgrade the stroller from the bassinet, to the car seat on it with special adapters to now the
big girl seat. The straps are a little loose, but there is no way she can slip out. This is the last change we will ever need to make to the stroller, she'll be able to sit in it this way until she is no longer riding in a stroller. Think we have enough accessories on it?

Reading

When we read to her now, she reaches for the pictures and grabs the pages, so I let her hold her own book. She only held onto it for a short time before it toppled out of her long,  skinny fingers.

Squirmy

I had Maddy laying under her kick toy a few afternoons ago while I was trying to get some laundry done. I came back to check on her and she had turned herself sideways (bottom picture) and couldn't fit under her toy that way. I turned her the correct way and went back to chores, checked on her a minute later and she had maneuvered herself off her mat across the floor (top photo). She is on the move!
As you can see from the top photo, we have put our coffee table into storage and the rug in our living room has now become our play area. We don't have a lot of space, but we use it well!

Fingers

She can entertain herself now by sticking her fingers in her mouth. Sometimes I think she is massaging her gums, and sometimes it's just for fun. She loves to "talk" while she has a mouth full of fingers and will sometimes have up to 3 of them shoved in there.

Sucking her lower lip in her bumbo

Maddy is showing off two of her newest tricks: sitting in the bumbo chair and sucking on her lower lip. She likes to sit in the chair and play with her kick toy that she normally lays underneath. I'm not sure where the lower lip sucking came from. The last picture is the face I think we will see a lot when she is a teenager and thinks her parents are embarrassing and annoying!

Napping

Maddy fell asleep while nursing on her boppy pillow the other day, I knew she would wake up if I tried to carry her to her crib, so on the boppy she stayed!
