After the class, I went to Monday Morning Mommy Movie. A theater not too far from us has a once a week movie meant for moms and their babies. They only dim the lights slightly, and keep the volume at a tolerable-for-baby level. I wore Maddy in a ring sling, and she again did great. She didn't cry at all, and was very interested in watching the movie screen. I had her facing the screen and then turned her around, and she turned her head to keep watching the screen. She feel asleep for the last part of the movie, and didn't fuss or cry at all. The theater was a sight to see, moms nursing their babies, moms and dads playing with their kids on the floor in the front of the theater, moms walking and bouncing their babies in the aisles. Funny enough, there were about 3 people in the theater with out a child, they must not have known, but they stayed for the whole movie with all the moms. This weeks movie was Funny People, which was good, but I am really looking forward to seeing Julie and Julia next Monday.

Mommy Day
Today I did a couple things for myself and luckily got to bring Maddy along. I started at 9 am down by the beach for a Stroller Stride class, this is an exercise class that involves your baby in a stroller. It was fun, and the hardest work out I have done in a long time (even before I got pregnant)! I kept Maddy in her car seat and snapped that onto our stroller base. She was awake for most of the class, just looking around, and didn't get fussy until the last few minutes and even then calmed down quickly. I was worried because she is usually not a fan of being in her car seat.
This picture is a sneak peak at what we did this weekend, post to follow later this week! Any clue where we are at?

Sounds like a fun Mommy day! I would probably be one of those people who wandered into a theater full of moms with babies, but I would love it. :-) More than once, I've been the only childless person at a kid's movie.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I can't wait to see Julie and Julia!!
It was fun, I love seeing movies in the theater, it's the one thing I've missed since Maddy was born.
